Conduct building safety inspections when assigned and communicate inspection results, assign action items, and ensure close-out. Performs follow-up inspections.Maintain the State of Texas Mold Assessment Consultant license. Provide the Consumer Mold Information Sheet, conduct visual and analytical assessments, collect air, bulk, and tape samples, write mold assessment reports, and when necessary, prepare and submit required mold remediation protocols. Supervise any required mold remediation project and conduct the clearance protocol.Conduct inspections and document reviews to identify asbestos containing materials. Collect samples and complete required reports for UHD renovation projects.Develops, writes, and conducts educational programs and standard operating procedures relating to safety issues for UHD, as required. Maintains current knowledge of policies, guidelines, and regulations from governmental agencies and participates in maintaining programs, examples include: Lock Out/Tag Out, conducting PPE hazard assessments, ensuring HAZCOM compliance, etc.). Participates with other UHD staff to implement and manage occupational safety programs.Perform incident response and investigations. Examples include responding to unknown chemical odors indoors and outdoors and responding to reports of injured employees or near misses. Consults with subject matter experts when response requires specific expertise.Contributes as a team member to UHD with competent performance, demonstrates leadership and integrity, and respects other employees; provides exceptional customer service and conducts work safely. May attend seminars and workshops to maintain knowledge of current safety techniques and standards. May develop standard operating procedures and other written guidelines. Attends staff meetings, safety training, and meetings. Performs other duties as assigned.
