Google Head of Analytics, Google Play in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7 years of experience with statistical data analysis.

  • 5 years of experience with data mining, querying, and managing analytical projects.

  • 5 years of people management experience.

  • 3 years of experience developing and managing metrics or evaluating programs/products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in identifying opportunities for business/product improvement, defining/measuring initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional and cross-product area teams.

  • Experience in e-commerce.

  • Experience in developing ML models, innovative methods, analysis, and approaches, as well as working with statistical and causal inference.

  • Experience working with Engineers and Product Managers around providing product insights.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver findings of analysis.

Google Play provides apps, games, and digital content services for Android devices. The Play Store serves users around the world, and is a critical driver of Google’s overall business growth.

  • Provide analytical thought leadership through proactive and strategic contributions, and use insights and analytics to drive decisions.

  • Define product success metrics and provide analytical support in various performance reviews, synthesize insights across multiple analytical projects to provide analytical recommendations to influence and manage the development of product development strategies, and deliver presentations of analysis and recommendations with the cross-functional and cross-organizational leadership team.

  • Define team roadmap and prioritization, coordinate resources, provide technical leadership with the long-term objectives, support and develop the team through mentorship and ongoing feedback.

  • Serve as the site Data Science Lead for Google Play, and provide mentorship to Data Scientists.
