Job Description

This role leads and coordinates various projects of moderate and large scope and complexity through all phases of initiation, development and implementation. The role will also create and maintains Operational Risk & Resilience Management (ORRM) SharePoint sites and identify useful tools/workflows to enhance communications across teams and businesses. The role also interacts with many team members within risk functions as well as business management across Manulife.

The role reports into the Governance, Methodology & Professional Practices team, but the role supports other leaders and teammates based on needs.

We are looking for someone with:

  • University degree from reputable university

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Project management, Report and analysis

  • Ability to build and manage relationships with various key internal team members from key contributors to senior executives.

  • Experience with developing business case, project overview and dashboard, presentations (highly proficient with PowerPoint, viso as an example)

  • Experience with developing and maintaining SharePoint sites and handling ongoing access rights.

  • Highly developed negotiating, communication & relationship skills

  • Experience working in a financial institution preferred

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

On the job you will:

  • Plan and lead all projects under ORRM team

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets

  • Track project progress and identify and mitigate risks

  • Create presentation decks (ppt or Visio) with clear and concise language and easy to interpret info.

  • Communicate with senior leaders timely on potential concerns or delays

  • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure that project goals and objectives are met

  • Ensure that projects are completed on time and to the required quality standards

  • Develop and implement project management methodologies and best practices for ORRM

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$84,375.00 CAD - $151,875.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
