Salary Range : $77,100 - $115,700 Annual

The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

CNO Financial Group’s Accounting and Finance Team is hiring a Sr Financial Reporting Analyst to perform and coordinate the preparation and reporting of various Accounting and Finance tasks.

This is your opportunity to be a part of SEC and Regulatory filings, in addition to GAAP/STAT Financial Statements and Quarterly Reporting.

As a Sr Financial Reporting Analyst your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the preparation of SEC filings using Workiva software.

  • Assist in Annual/Quarterly Review of XBRL tagging within 10-Q/K Documents.

  • Quality control procedures related to SEC documents and Audit Committee materials.

  • Coordination/Maintenance of Financial Controls Binders.

  • Assist in the preparation of SOX documentation and coordination of various SOX controls.

  • Perform accounting research and review of peer company disclosures, as needed.

  • Financial information for the renewal of TPA licenses in several states.

  • Bureau of Economic Analysis quarterly and annual surveys, Annual Capital Expenditure Survey and Annual Rating Agency Surveys.

  • Preparation of Financial Statement Disclosure Checklist for 10-Q/K.

  • Assist with PwC/STAT examination coordination.

  • Preparation of 10-Q/K Key Dates Calendar and coordination of quarterly meetings in Teams.

  • Prepare/Monitor several quarterly state insurance company financial condition calculations.

  • Preparation of Quarterly Statutory Consolidated Financial Statements and various supplemental schedules for the Statutory Reporting package.

  • Preparation of the Quarterly Projected Fines Schedule, Quarterly Consolidated Equity Roll-forward and Quarterly Billing Summary.

  • Assist in the preparation/loading of journal entries to HFM reporting software.

  • Preparation of Bluebook Quarterly Management Support Binder.

The Sr Financial Reporting Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Work well independently and as part of a team.

  • Analyze problems and implement solutions.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Ability to work onsite at our Carmel, IN campus up to five days a week.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.

  • Experience with Workiva, HFM, and SOX documentation is a plus.

What will set you apart:

  • CPA or in progress highly preferred but not required.

  • Prior Insurance Accounting experience highly preferred.

  • Experience with Workiva, HFM, and SOX documentation is a plus.

This role is affiliated to the Carmel office, and candidates for this role need to reside within a 60-mile radius of that corporate office and will be required to come into that office.
