- Participate in process flow analysis and design with end clients.
- Analyze and test existing products to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop designs to meet cost, quality, and manufacturing schedule.
- Expand principles of tool design and related technologies to mechanical systems design to improve functionality and manufacturability.
- Develop and build prototypes and test functionality, iterations, and analytics.
- Perform computer simulations and develop virtual experiment environment.
- Influence working relationships within cross-functional teams.
- Assess design for product safety.
- Support programming staff in preparing detailed machine program from the diagrams and flow charts prepared by the systems staff.
- Analyze latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.
