Job Description

About Gilead:

The Position

We have an opportunity for a Graduate to join our team for a 2 year programme, working within the Supply Chain function and rotating to key relevant areas as below. Throughout this time, the successful candidate will be developed and mentored to aid your on the job learning.

The Supply Chain function within Gilead Sciences Ireland Manufacturing spans two sites - the Manufacturing/Packaging facility in Cork and the Distribution Centre in Dublin. The sub functions in Cork include Planning, Purchasing, Labelling Operations and Warehousing while the sub functions withing Dublin include Distribution, Customer Services and Logistics.

The successful candidate will rotate through the Cork based sub functions and will be developed in areas such as Supply Planning, Production Planning, Label Operations, Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), Inventory Management, Master Data Management and Warehouse Operations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will rotate into key areas, building responsibility and experience in the below:

Planning and Inventory Management:

  • Support the execution of all activities related to the planning and purchasing of raw materials and consumables ensuring availability of the right quantity at the right time.

  • Optimise Inventory levels and maintain flow of materials while considering warehouse capacities and inventory targets in order to eliminate potential disruptions in the storage, storage costs and avoid any material or consumable scrap.

  • Identify, support and implement continuous improvement efforts across the materials planning and purchasing processes.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Developing Planning training curriculum for non-GxP training.

  • Developing Key Skills training matrix.

  • Support development of Planning work instructions for SAP ERP implementation.

Label Operations:

  • Support artwork updates & product launch activities as required ensuring no launch dates are missed.

Key project support:

  • Support Additional Project Coordinator activities.

  • Support the creation of Change controls, deviations, CAPA’s, Change assessments , ASPVM updates, SOP and process updates as required

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • A minimum 2.1 level 8 degree in a related area such as Supply Chain, Business, Engineering.

  • Good problem solving and attention to detail.

  • Good documentation and presentation skills.

  • Highly adaptable and displaying good initiative.

  • Strong team player and ability to build effective relationships.
