Qualifications

Telecommunications Technicians are responsible for the operation and maintenance of all the communications equipment and networks owned and/or operated by/or for all Dayton Power & Light Company customers. This responsibility includes responding to problems occurring at any time that disrupts communications which are deemed vital to the operation of the Company´s electric system and service to our customers.

Work Experience Required

Entry Level – A two-year technical degree or the equivalent with a background in math and science preferred. Must possess a valid Ohio Motor Vehicle Operator´s license. Must be able to pass standard tests for color blindness. Must meet the physical work requirements.

Fully Qualified – a minimum of one year experience as a Telecommunications Technician I or the equivalent. Must have demonstrated the ability to perform all technical work, have demonstrated a thorough knowledge of telecommunications theory in general and the ability to perform high quality manual work.

Work schedules will be determined through consultation with affected employees. All schedules are subject to change as provided for in the Compact.
