The Leadership for Educational Organizations (LEO) program offers endorsement, masters, and doctoral degree programs to prepare equity-minded leaders for PK-12 and other educational contexts. The program offers a combination of academic and practical leadership knowledge needed to promote equity and improvement in learning contexts and prepares leaders for future-ready schools and school districts. LEO offers courses on campus, in partner locations, and online to maximize access for future school and district leaders.

What you will do:

  • Maintaining a teaching load of 4 courses (12 credits) per semester

  • Advising MA and EdD students throughout the program

  • Participation in program review

  • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, to foster a collaborative environment conducive to change

  • Ensuring that the program's practices and culture uphold principles of equity and social justice providing all students with fair opportunities to succeed

  • Supporting strategic planning efforts to adapt to changing educational landscapes including the integration of technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes

  • Attending faculty and program level meetings

  • Infusing diversity and equity in every courseQualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Master's Degree

  • At least one semester of experience in teaching graduate or undergraduate students

  • Demonstration of the nuances of student advising for a terminal degree

  • Experience with culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse education communitiesPreferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Doctoral degree

  • 5 years' experience as a leader in an educational organization at the PK-12 level

  • Demonstration of the ability to teach at a high level using an online delivery model

  • Experience teaching doctoral level classes Conditions of EmploymentThis appointment is a 9-month position for Academic year 2024-2025 at this time. It may be renewable pending budgetary approval. Additional summer teaching opportunities may be available.This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.As of 7/1/2023, The University of Colorado recommends employees be fully vaccinated from the COVID-19, but is not required.
