What do you contribute?

  • In your new role, you will coordinate customer and development projects in the engineering field of lithium battery technology for rail vehicles from the quotation phase through to system handover.

  • As part of an innovative interdisciplinary team, you will jointly develop new processes and future-oriented technical solutions for lithium battery systems.

  • You will work closely with experts in system design, fuel cells, traction converters and the on-board power supply system in the technical conception phase.

  • You will draw up well-founded technical specifications and test plans for lithium batteries and coordinate these in detail with the suppliers.

  • You will support and carry out safety analyses and work in quality management.

  • You will carry out simulations in the area of battery system design, as well as calculations on service life

  • You will present the development results to users, decision-makers, suppliers, customers and at specialist events.

  • You will carry out market research, technology and cell benchmarks as well as economic feasibility studies, in particular on lithium-ion and post-lithium-ion batteries.

What do you bring along?

  • You have a master’s degree in engineering or natural sciences, preferably with knowledge of Li-ion energy storage systems.

  • You have initial professional experience and initial project experience (or development projects) in the field of hybrid drive technology or electric traction systems.

  • You have very good knowledge of simulation tools/techniques and are preferably already proficient in Matlab-Simulink / Python or are looking forward to learning this in the short term.

  • Ideally, you have knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence or programming skills.

  • Knowledge of the electrical, thermal and mechanical behavior of cells and battery systems is advantageous.
