Sierra Nevada Corporation Operations Manager I- Aircraft Modification in Hagerstown, Maryland

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our team in modifying Corporate Jets with cutting edge ISR capabilities. Your responsibilities will include overseeing project management, quality control, and ensuring all modifications adhere to company and regulatory standards. With a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills, you will be instrumental in driving SNC's growth in this exciting and rapidly evolving field.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber. https://www.sncorp.com/company/business-areas/

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire Operations life-cycle of aircraft modification projects, from contract proposal to final delivery

  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to develop innovative solutions to ensure design is focused for efficient manufacturing

  • Ensure all modifications meet stringent quality, safety and regulatory requirements

  • Establish and maintain efficient project schedules and workflows, effectively managing resources to meet milestones and budgets

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Customer, Vendor support, Program Management and Leadership, ensuring their satisfaction with Operations

  • Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and professional development within the team.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelors in Aviation Management related discipline

  • Related experience in aircraft modification may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex aircraft modification projects

  • Strong Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong interdepartmental and client relationships

  • Results driven, with a focus on delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.

  • Committed to ongoing learning and professional development personally and for your team.

Preferred:

  • Proficient with MES, PLM, MRP, PowerBI Competent with scheduling, forecasting and capacity planning
