  • Participates in all activities for integrating, implementing and rollout of new commercial applications including Allegro ETRM and Ascend Analytics system upgrades. This includes the coordination with application vendors, internal IT and/or third-party contractors.

  • Support existing in-house and vendor applications, including troubleshooting and resolving production problems.

  • Developing processes to resolve technical problems with Commercial Operation systems

  • Communicating IT projects to non-technical employees and executives

  • Performs query, analysis and reporting activities including identifying data, data transfers and system data interfaces.

  • Draft test plans and performs unit, integration and system testing and coordination of user acceptance testing.

  • Facilitate requirements gathering by meeting with users and writing functional requirement and design documents that includes details of the user’s needs

  • Develop functional scope and specifications for new systems and for significant enhancement of existing systems.

  • Assist with ongoing improvement initiatives; review and improvement of pre-existing application documentation.

  • Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline required.


  • 3+ years of experience performing the specific essential functions of this position.

  • Prefer Experience with a leading ETRM/CTRM platform, such as Allegro or OpenLink.

  • Prefer Experience with energy analytics software such as Ascend Analytics or ABB/Ventyx suite.

  • Experience with visualization and reporting tools such as Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics etc.

  • Prefer experience in the electric utility, power marketing, public power or independent system operator (ISO/RTO).

  • Experience in end to end delivery and lifecycle of analytical business solutions

  • Proficiency with analytic software programming (SAS, R, Python or other languages)

  • Displays well-rounded communication skills that implement good listening techniques, clear, concise writing style; and good verbal skills. The ability to communicate across a wide range of groups and personalities internally and externally.

  • Works well in a team environment, focusing on collaboration and adapting to the needs of a diverse team.

  • Adept at managing multiple tasks and adhering to regular deadlines. Able to adjust priorities throughout the day.
