About the Role:

This position will report to the Assistant Treasurer with direct visibility to the Treasurer and the greater Financial Integrity Group. The qualified individual will support dynamic liquidity management, forecasting, and funding optimization/execution. The role provides for significant interaction with senior management and requires exceptional attention to detail and communication abilities.

  • Monitor and manage daily cash positions to ensure desired levels are maintained.

  • Forecast sources and uses of cash and funding needs for the bank.

  • Evaluate and advise on various liquidity and funding strategies.

  • Calculate, monitor, and report daily liquidity ratios and metrics.

  • Assist in liquidity stress testing activities.

  • Maximize and submit monthly and quarterly loan pledges.

  • Prepare reports and materials for ALCO, Treasury, and other teams as needed.

  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.

  • Review of daily loan index rates

  • Assist in upgrading treasury processes with a focus on automation and efficiency.

  • Work cross-functionally to meet regulatory requirements and reporting deadlines.

  • Regularly participate in meetings with Senior Management, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and other key stakeholders

  • Maintain an awareness of current market and economic conditions.

  • Assist in the development of and adherence to Treasury policies and procedures.

  • Support Treasury-related projects as needed.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business or equivalent.

  • Master’s Degree preferred.

  • 4-7 years of relevant work experience.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-starter with the motivation to assume additional responsibilities over time.

  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and as part of a team.

  • Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products.

  • Experience with Power BI and/or Axiom a plus.

  • Basic accounting knowledge

  • Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and execute assigned tasks.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing.

Work Style:

Umpqua Bank offers a Flexible Workplace Program, and this opportunity comes with the Full Office work style which is working in office from a designated company location five days weekly.

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $.00 to $106,312.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
