Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on tractor trailers, box trucks, refrigeration trucks, lift gates and hydraulics

· Maintain work area appearance and safety

· Diesel repairs, service & diagnostics

· Servicing customers

· Driving to Road calls as needed. Mostly onsite

· Maintain certifications. Desire to continue seeking training classes and ASE certifications- Bonuses to those who complete

· Prior diesel mechanic experience

• No Electric experience is needed but encouraged

· CDL Class B – driving throughout NJ as needed. All drivers will need to have or obtain their CDL B license.

Depending on location the manager will give you a list of places to enroll. Candidates will be paying for this class on their own and will be completing this while working.

· DPF laptop Diagnostic

· Inspect trucks to ensure that they are in proper working condition

· Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery

· Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose

· Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials

· Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

· Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 100lbs

• standing for 6 hours at one time
