BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) SC Excellence Manager in Seoul, South Korea

Job Description Summary

The SC Excellence Manager will report to Korea SCM director, be responsible for management of 3PL DC operations team in Korea SCM organization.

The SC Excellence Manager will drive Logistics Continuous Improvement (CI) projects across order fulfillment to outbound delivery process for customer excellence, and find Cost to Win saving opportunities to maintain Logistics cost within company financial goals. and will create culture of operational and customer excellence, implementing change.

This strong operational excellence and continuous improvement identity will be created through the systemic application of LEAN production and CI principles, methodologies, and associated tools, to ensure sustainable optimization of performance in the areas of delivery, performance visibility, logistics data management, cost optimization and 3PL management with network study.

Job Description

Key tasks and strategic accountabilities

  • Manage outbound Distribution Center team & 3PL warehouse team to monitor daily operations and resolve issues if any

  • Cost to Win initiative: focus primarily on initiatives to improve SC operational performance. Ensures all warehouses have 3-year funnel, delivering required impact annually in CI. Mentors/coaches warehouse team and logistics team. This position works closely with Inbound Logistics & DC manager, finance, category managers and other CTW leadership to ensure CTW savings are realized.

  • Works closely with the SCM Director to build development and implementation of the SC improvement strategy plan for BD Excellence Maturity.

  • Help shape and deploy BD Excellence roadmap, coordinate and/or lead specific breakthrough Kaizen events and /or initiatives to achieve targeted performance improvement through the network study or practical application of Lean Tools and Principles.

  • Conducts periodic review of KPIs and actions for all warehouses. Will facilitate and coach logistics team as required to ensure performance goals are achieved. On site coaching and assessments as required. Manage Logistics vendors and selection process with procurement team when required.

  • Help shape and deploy the Logistics Digital Shift roadmap, coordinate and/or lead specific requirement gathering events or workshops to understand current digital/reporting landscape.

  • Help shape the development and maintenance of PowerBI reports and dashboards to provide insights into logistics data including SC cost financials. Collaborate with TGS/Finance team to ensure data accuracy and availability.

  • Develop and grow BD Excellence impact through deployment of progressively advanced aspects of component methodologies.

  • Report SCM director to plan SC budget spending and submit regular projections vs actual spending, month closing with finance team as guided.

  • Lead Logistics projects for improvement and synergy and cost savings.

  • Share team for global/regional/local Logistics trend/news to be prepared. Update and maintain Logistics vendor contracts.

  • Review and approve Logistics related SOPs and work instructions for any changes/trainings. Review and approve Logistics outbound expenses and vendor payments.

  • People management and review performance and guide development

Job Requirements

  • Experience with digital transformations in Logistics ex) Python, Power BI, Power Automate, Copilot, etc.

  • Demonstrates expertise logistics process, ERP and WMS processing.

  • Demonstrates expertise 3PL management.

  • Previous experience in implementing, and strong knowledge of, Lean (Kaizen, Gemba)

  • More than 13 years of experiences
