Enterprise Mobility Benefits Specialist in St. Louis, Missouri

As we continue to build our team in support of our vision to be the world’s best and most trusted mobility company, the Corporate Benefits Department is excited to announce an opportunity for a Benefits Specialist to join the team!

The Benefits Specialist is responsible for managing Health and Welfare benefit plans and the relationships with plan vendors. This role will develop, interpret, review, validate, document, and maintain business requirements and develop strategic goals for the North American benefits programs. This position will also partner with the Communications Team, internal HR partners and external vendors and consultants to develop compliant best practices for managing the North American benefit plans and vendors, and contribute to the overall efficiency of department operations.

This position reports into our Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, MO, with a hybrid schedule available.

Responsibilities

We are hiring now for immediate openings. Responsibilities include:

  • Identify, recommend, and implement ongoing improvements to processes, wellness initiatives, plan design, plan utilization reporting, eligibility files, the Hub and Internet employee communications, and vendor website content

  • Interpret and explain EH employee benefit programs; respond to administrative and policy questions

  • Investigate and respond to eligibility and claim questions and inquiries from Benefits Central

  • Monitor new benefit legislation and ensure plan compliance with state and federal regulations

  • Perform detailed research and analysis of administrative appeals

  • Look for benefit and utilization trends and research new benefit offerings

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned benefit plans

  • Develop and perform analysis of key benefit metrics

  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with U.S. and Canadian benefit vendors

  • Prepare for and lead both internal and external vendor meetings

  • Analyze plan utilization, identify trends and propose recommendations for cost savings and improved plan performance

  • Facilitate and analyze requests for proposals (RFPs) and contract renewals

  • Develop and monitor Implementation Plan for new benefit plans and vendors; lead implementation meetings with vendors

  • Maintain contracts and vendor agreements including amendments, and ensure proper record retention

  • Develop, document and monitor the benefit plans to ensure vendor contractual obligations are being met

  • Develop, review and analyze vendor Performance Guarantees recommending adjustments when appropriate; develop and establish benchmarks

  • Outline service expectations and review vendor performance to ensure excellent customer service

  • Conduct detailed review and approval of vendor invoices

  • Perform detailed review and analysis of vendor customer service dialog documents, vendor plan design documents, and the Summary Plan Description to ensure consistency

  • Perform periodic scheduled reviews of vendor websites and IVRs to confirm functionality and accuracy of information

  • Monitor provider network coverage to ensure sufficient provider access

  • Lead vendor-specific communications efforts

  • Identifies opportunities for benefit communication and education including new hire communications, annual enrollment, and other initiatives

  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and benefits data including safeguarding Protected Heath Information (PHI) and comply with HIPAA

  • Assist in development of benefits communications in partnership with internal teams, review various benefits compliance documents such as SPDs, SBCs, SRAs

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree

  • Must have 5 or more years’ experience managing Health and Welfare benefits for corporations with 1,000+ employees

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Preferred:

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) Designation
