Robert Half Bookkeeper in Stamford, Connecticut

Description

Job Overview: A reputable medical service provider located in Stamford, CT seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with QuickBooks and proficiency in managing day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping operations independently. This person will have an outside CPA who will assist, but in general this will be a "stand-alone" Bookkeeper position.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all financial transactions of the medical office, bill pay, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank and ledger reconciliations using QuickBooks.

Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles, as needed.

Oversee patient billing procedures, claims processing, payment posting and revenue cycle management.

Balance accounts when needed

Work with outside Accountant to assist with month-end close and prepare P& L reports

Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Assist in other accounting and administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

3-5+ years of hands-on Bookkeeping experience

Solid experience working with QuickBooks.

Proven ability to manage financial processes independently from end-to-end.

Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with managing medical billing and insurance claims is a plus but not required

High level of professionalism and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving
